What is the Alation Help Center?

The Alation Help Center (AHC) is a single entry point to Alation resources such as:

  • Community
  • Developer APIs
  • Documentation
  • Knowledge Base Articles
  • Alation University
  • Alation Support (for Customer Support Admins)
  • Alation Ideation Portal


The Help Center allows you to search across all of these resources in one place.

For the best AHC experience, you should register for an account and log in when using the AHC.


I am already an Alation user. Why do I need to create an account?

  • The account you use to access Alation is unique to your catalog and your organization.


What are my login credentials?

  • New Alation Help Center users should register. An email will be sent to you to create a password.
  • Customer Support Admins - use your existing support username and password to access the Alation Help Center.


I receive a message that says my account already exists. What do I do?

  • Select "Already have an account?"
  • Then select "Forgot your password?"
  • An email will be sent to complete the password reset process.
